He was baptised on 8 February 1893 in South Lopham , the ceremony was conducted by Rev. J F BATEMAN, Rector - parents George (labourer) and Mary Ann. Charles’ British Army Medal Roll Index Card shows him as Royal Fusiliers, Private 38956, and then to the Labour Corps, Private 61435. The absent voter list for North Lopham also shows 61435 Pte., 103rd Lab. Co. No further information has been found. He died circa 1968 - this is not confirmed.
